Tomcraft was German DJ and producer Thomas Brückner (born in Munich on 12 June 1975; died 15 July 2024) who specialized in progressive house and progressive trance music and is remembered for having created the tracks "Loneliness" and "Prosac", working alongside Eniac.

Established as one of Europe's best Tech-House scenes hitmakers, Bruckner began working as a DJ in Munich in 1994, shifting between techno and the emerging progressive trance style. The following year, he released his first track, “This Is No House”. He first met in Eniac in 1996, and the two immediately started producing music together, beginning with “Viva”. The same year yielded the track “Prosac”, but this did not achieve success until it was re-released in 2001.

2002 was also the year Tomcraft released “Loneliness”, a progressive vocal track that eventually reached #1 in the UK . The financial success allowed him to found his own record label, Great Stuff Recordings, followed up in 2005 with Craft Music.

His song “Overdose” was featured in the 2003 movie Party Monster for its parallel theme of drug use to the Club Kids of New York City.

But he not only gained attention as a producer of various chart hits, he also established himself as an internationally requested Top DJ with unrivaled success since 1993.

This has been seen time and again with appearances in Germany at MAYDAY, LOVE PARADE, ENERGY, NATURE ONE and with an international following in the USA (NYC, Miami, San Francisco etc), Columbia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and throughout Europe, from Istanbul to Estonia plus several appearances in the biggest UK clubs such as THE GALLERY, GODSKITCHEN, TANGLED or PROMISE.

The year 2004 will see TOMCRAFT as one of the busiest DJs around, playing tours in the US, ASIA and AUSTRALIA.

Being Munich label `KOSMO RECORDS' No1 seller, TOMCRAFT is responsible for numerous productions and chart hits. Together with his producer Robert Bormann aka ENIAC, TOMCRAFT has created hits such as "THE MISSION", "THE LORD" "THE CIRCLE" TV series .Others such as "SILENCE", "PROSAC", "OVERDOSE" and his latest U.K. number 1 hit "LONELINESS". In 2001 TOMCRAFT was also nominated for an ECHO AWARD in the category of best dance-act. In 2003 TOMCRAFT won 3 Germand Dance Awards for BEST ALBUM, BEST RADIO HIT and BEST DANCE TRACK. His Remix work is, with no doubt, one of the heaviest around and the list of Remix Projects is a never-ending story. BBE (7 days and one week), FUTURESHOCK (late at night), SIMPLE MINDS (spaceface), PET SHOP BOYS (flamboayn), DAVE GAHAN (bottle living) are just some of the heavily played remixes by TOMCRAFT.

O violão fora substituído pela guitarra, assim permanecendo até hoje, mas não tendo isso como métrica principal de criação, a idéia é expandir nossa música, misturando ritmos e instrumentos, porém mantendo a mesma identidade.

There are several artists using the moniker 'Jungle'.

1. Jungle is an English modern soul musical collective founded by childhood friends, Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson.
Jungle was formed at the beginning of 2013, choosing to put an aesthetic emphasis on the music’s surrounding artwork and videos, and not on the pairs' own identity, (McFarland and Lloyd-Watson came to be known as J and T). Throughout the following year Jungle developed its nature as a collective by working with different artists across diverse disciplines. To perform the music live, Jungle expanded to a seven-piece band, fronted by J and T. Their debut album Jungle was released through XL Recordings on 14 July 2014. The album was met with great critical acclaim and was later shortlisted for the 2014 Mercury Prize. Their 2nd album, For Ever, was released on 14 September 2018.

2. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan – “Jungle” is a world/rock/fusion power trio featuring Steve "Muruga" Booker on drums, Dave Sharp on bass, and Steven Springer on guitar. “Jungle” was formed in 2010 when Muruga, Dave, and Steven collaborated on a project at Muruga’s "Sage Ct." recording studio. While in studio they recorded their first album “Jungle.” Drawing from many influences like Coltrane, Hendrix, Funkadelic etc. they recorded the album live.

Steven "Muruga" Booker, born in Detroit, MI, is a world renowned drummer and percussionist with musical roots going back to the late 1950's when he played in the Detroit rock n roll band “The Low Rocks.” Muruga was inspired by the blues, rock, and soul of the Detroit scene. He played with the legendary bluesman John Lee Hooker. They were booked as Hooker and Booker. Muruga is also known for his drum solos at venues like the East Town and Chessmate in Detroit. Playing with many artists throughout his career some highlights include playing Woodstock in 1969 with Tim Hardin, performing at Carnegie Hall with Dave Brubeck, playing on Weather Reports “Sweet Nighter” in 1973, and collaborating with George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars from the late 70's to the present. In 1990 Muruga released the billboard charting album "Blues from the Rainforest" with Merl Saunders and Jerry Garcia. In 1991 he was a recipient of th Hiroshima Voices for Peace award. He is featured on the Chesky Records album "Circle of Drums" with Babatunde Olatunji and Sikiru Adepoju. Most recently Muruga has released several albums on the Italian label Qbico Records and his 2010 release "Kiss of Peace" is nominated for 2010 Detroit Music Award for outstanding world music recording.

Steven Springer grew up in Port of Spain, Trinidad and is an accomplished, soulful songwriter and innovative finger style guitarist, with his roots in reggae, soca and calypso. His unique musical style is a melting pot of jazz, reggae, Latin, blues, rock and R&B, which combine to form a refreshing exceptional sound. When watching Springer perform, audiences from around the world have been witnessed an artist delivering his music with energy, conviction and raw emotion. Born in Trinidad, in the West Indies, Steven Springer was inspired by the melodic lilting sound of soca and calypso. He started playing guitar at a young age. Steven was intrigued by the fusion of many cultures and the beautiful natural features of Trinidad. In his early twenties, Steven moved to Phoenix, Arizona and formed a band called Sanctuary. Touring worldwide, Springer was a featured artist at the 1988 World’s Fair in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, performing with the Trinidad Calypso Band. Upon returning to the United States, Springer joined Hugh Borde’s world famous Trinidad Tripoli Steel Band, performing and recording with them for over ten years. Currently, Steven also leads the band Tropicooljazz. Among other numerous awards and honors, Steven was chosen “Best Guitar Player,” every year from 1990 to 1993, at the annual Detroit Music Awards.

Dave Sharp, a native Detroiter, became devoted to jazz at the University of Michigan and gained his chops under the tutelage of renowned bassist Herbie Lewis (McCoy Tyner, Cannonball Adderly and Les McCann) in San Francisco, and virtuoso bassist, composer and bandleader Marion Hayden (Straight Ahead) in Detroit. As bassist and composer for the modern jazz ensemble “Spheres of In uence,” and touring bassist for the seminal rock band “The Melvins” (Atlantic Records), Sharp has already made a mark on the national scene. He lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he composes, records, teaches and performs with Jungle has his own band Dave Sharp's Secret Seven.

3.Nothing is known about this excellent late sixties album's makers. A reissue is now available, so you can hear how good it is for yourself! Early Morning Rising, Slave Ship, House Of Rooms and Gray Picnic are all loaded with nice guitar and organ, even frantic (if somewhat inept) drumming on occasion. The tracks have an atmospheric, open quality and the recording is superb. This is a lost gem. The reissue has a deluxe embossed cover. It was originally issued in a plain sleeve.

(Clark Faville for "Fuzz, Acid and Flowers" book)

The trio of French/Itailan techno experts came together with a debut single, "Seven Days and One Week," which became a hit at clubs from Ibiza to London and ascended into the Top Five of the British charts. Though Quartier left immediately after the single's success, Sanchioni and Top's follow-up "Flash" also hit the Top Five, alongside similar tunes by Sash! and Robert Miles in a wave of chart-bound dream house. ZYX Records issued the compilation Early Works in 1997, and BBE released their debut album Games one year later.
There are at least two bands called Bandolero:

1) A Puerto Rico outfit whose album, an amalgam of psychedelia, garage, blues and rock, is well worth investigation. Most of its better moments come on Side One. All vocals are in English except for one cut, Tenura. The album's opener I Got It is quite fast-paced with prominent guitar and keyboards. Love Me Tonight, one of the strongest, is notable for good vocals and pleasing melodic guitar work. Don't Hang Me features lots of heavyish guitar work, but is a little disjointed in places. I Can Always Think Of You, another of the best cuts, features more good guitar work and some quite dramatic piano parts. The side closes with Salsa Friquea. This commences with a climatic keyboard intro, which gives way to bouncy Latin American style rhythms as the song progresses through different stages.

Side Two is not as strong. It opens with Together, which blends lots of guitar / organ interplay. My Life Is Always Going Through Changes applies a similar format, but is a little disjointed in places. I Want To Get There is more of the same, but weaker. Awake features bouncy Latin rhythms and is similar to Salsa Friquea, but becomes tedious in places. The finale Truth And Understanding is another of the album's finer moments. It blends good vocals and melody and there's a pleasing guitar interlude followed by a rhythmic Latin section. The cut ends with a drum solo.

2) A french disco band of brothers José and Carlos Perron together with Djill Bourezak. They had a major hit with the song «Paris Latino» in 1983/1984 in France, Spain, Switzerland and Italy. The next track «Cocoloco» in 1984 could not follow the success. In 2011 a Best-of-CD was released including the 12''-version and special mixes of «Paris Latino». In the US and Canada «Paris Latino» was released as 12'' vinyl including a remix by John Jellybean Benitez.

There is more than one artist with this name:

1) Philippe Katerine (known as Katerine for his artistic work) is a French singer and composer, who published eight records since the beginning of his career in 1991.
He was born in 1968.

2) Katerine Avgoustakis is a Belgian singer and was the winner of the 2005 Belgian Star Academy, similar to American Idol in the United States. She was born on September 16, 1983, to a Greek father and a Belgian mother.

Currently, she lives in Maasmechelen. Avgoustakis used to be a beauty specialist and before that a saleswoman. During the third quarter of 2005, it was announced that Avgoustakis had been dating Pim Symoens, who was #4 in Star Academy and who also works for JIMtv, a popular Flemish music channel.

Avgoustakis plays the piano and used to be in a choir. She was also a member of her first band Indiana, with whom she participated with for Eurovision Song Contest a couple of years ago, with the song Imitation Love.

Due to the failure of Indiana, she entered Star Academy in Flanders. In 2005, she worked her way to the finale and won the contest and a record contract. Avgoustakis's debut single New Day, released in July 2005 in Belgium, peaked at #2 in the Belgian UltraTop 50 chart. "New Day" was written and produced by Regi Penxten & Filip Vandueren, the team behind Milk Inc. Three months later, she received the TMF Flanders award for Best New National Artist for the song. Also the song was certified gold in Belgium. Her selfnamed debut album Katerine was released on November 14, 2005 in Belgium. The album is to be released in May in the Netherlands. Due the 'unexpected' sudden death of her mother, her second single, Here Come All the Boys, was delayed to be released in October 2005. This is the first single she also released in the Netherlands, that peaked at #89 in the Dutch Mega Singles Top 100. The song is also featured on the hits compilation HitBox, which was released on March 13, 2006, containing hits like Ricky Martin's I Don't Care, Rihanna's If It's Lovin' That You Want and the Michael Jackson cover Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U) by Hi_Tack.

Avgoustakis won the first Belgian pre-selection for Eurosong 2006 on January 8, 2006 with the song Watch Me Move. Because of this, she was sure to have a place in the pre-finale rounds, however the judges thought her voice wasn't powerful enough to win. Despite being considered as one of the finalists, Katerine remained in the semi.

The third single from her album Katerine, Take Me Home, was released on April 4th 2006 in Belgium, with Watch Me Move as B-side.

These days, Katerine is back with a new single called 'Livewire'. Despite the high hopes, the single hasn't done as well as expected.

(2001 – 2011)

iiO (sometimes written as IIO, pronounced "eye-oh") was a New York City based house music act consisting of producer/songwriter Markus Moser and singer/songwriter Nadia Ali. iiO are best known for their 2001 hit "Rapture". The name iiO was derived from the Sony PC laptop model VAIO, on which the duo was creating much of their early work, and the duo was in fact first known as Vaiio.

After "Rapture" was released, the duo followed suit with "At The End" in 2002, "Smooth" in 2003, and "Runaway" in 2004.

iiO's first album, "Poetica", was delayed several times and released independently in March 2005 on Made Records, and worldwide in June 2006.

By the time the album was released Nadia Ali had left iiO to pursue a solo career, while Moser continues to release material featuring her on the vocals. These included the single "Kiss You", which was released to promote the album, followed by "Is It Love?". Moser followed these with "Rapture 2007" and "Reconstruction Time: The Best Of iiO Remixed" in 2007, and finally "Rapture Reconstruction: Platinum Edition in 2008.

iiO re-emerged from hiatus in December 2010 with Moser releasing new remixes of the band's second single "At The End (Metropolitan Mix)". Moser released a second album, "Exit 110" on April 19, 2011 featuring Ali on vocals. It was announced that Exit 110 will be iiO's final project and while Moser had doubts about using material Ali recorded before she left iiO, it was decided to release a new album due to a demand by fans.
