Paramore is an American rock band formed in Franklin, Tennessee, in 2004. Since 2017, the band's lineup has included lead vocalist Hayley Williams, lead guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro. Williams and Farro are founding members, while York, a high school friend of the original lineup, joined in 2007.

The band was signed to Fueled by Ramen, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, while Williams was signed to Atlantic separately. The group's debut album, "All We Know Is Falling" (2005), reached number 30 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart in 2006 and number four on the UK Rock Chart in 2009.

Their second album, "Riot!" (2007), included the singles "Misery Business", "Crushcrushcrush", and "That's What You Get". It was certified Platinum in the US. The 2009 album "Brand New Eyes" reached number two on the Billboard 200 and produced the top-forty single "The Only Exception", achieving platinum status in Ireland and the UK.

After the departure of Zac and Josh Farro in 2010, the band released the self-titled album "Paramore" in 2013, which reached number one on the US Billboard 200 as well as charts in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. The album included the singles "Still Into You" and "Ain't It Fun", with "Ain't It Fun" receiving the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. Bassist Jeremy Davis left the band near the end of 2015, and Zac Farro rejoined in 2017.

The albums "After Laughter" (2017) and "This Is Why" (2023) both peaked within the top ten on various charts, with "This Is Why" receiving the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. The band has been on hiatus since September 2025.
